1. Introduction and Purpose
Relatia – Relationship Capital Academy is committed to providing accessible, practical and high-quality learning experiences that help individuals and organisations build relationship capital for career advancement, entrepreneurship, leadership and professional growth.
Our learning methodology emphasises active participation, practical application, reflection, assessment and demonstrated competence rather than passive consumption of course materials.
This policy establishes the rules governing course access, learner participation, assessments, assignments, grading, school completion, certification, corrections and appeals.
It applies to learners enrolled in Relatia's free and paid learning programmes.
2. Course Enrolment and Learning Access
2.1 Free Courses
RC101 – Introduction to Relationship Capital remains available free of charge to registered learners.
Completion of RC101 does not automatically grant access to other paid courses or schools.
2.2 Paid Courses and Schools
Access to paid courses is provided through:
- A verified purchase of the applicable course or school entitlement.
- An authorised administrator grant.
- An approved corporate or institutional enrolment arrangement.
Learners may access paid learning content during the period specified in their enrolment terms.
After paid access expires, learners may continue viewing their saved learning results and history, subject to applicable account and data retention policies.
Starting new paid learning attempts requires an active entitlement.
2.3 Course Information
The Academy catalogue provides relevant information about available courses, learning outcomes, prerequisites and completion requirements.
Applicable purchase terms and access conditions are communicated during enrolment.
3. Learning Methodology
Relatia adopts an interactive, learner-centred learning methodology focused on practical understanding and application.
Learning activities may include interactive lessons, scenario-based questions, knowledge checks, practical exercises, relationship mapping, stakeholder analysis, reflective activities, action plans, case studies and final projects.
The Academy encourages learners to apply acquired knowledge to real-life professional, business and leadership situations.
4. Assessment Rules and Standards
Before an assessment begins, learners will be informed of the applicable:
- Assessment purpose and whether it is formative or required.
- Passing threshold, where configured.
- Maximum number of attempts.
- Retry conditions and cooldown periods.
- Partial-credit rules, where applicable.
- Result used to determine completion.
4.1 Objective Assessments
Multiple-choice, true-or-false, multiple-select, matching, sequencing and scenario-based questions may be graded automatically using configured scoring rules.
Partial credit is awarded only where expressly configured.
A numerical score without a defined passing threshold does not establish a pass.
Invalid or unsuccessful grading must not generate an unsupported result.
4.2 Assessment Feedback
Lesson-level objective questions may provide feedback after an answer is submitted.
Course tests and final assessments release results after the complete assessment has been submitted and validly graded.
Correct answers may remain protected until the appropriate feedback stage to preserve assessment integrity.
Assessment attempts, feedback and grading history are retained according to applicable recordkeeping requirements.
5. Written Assignments and Practical Projects
Written assignments may include reflections, relationship maps, stakeholder analyses, action plans, case studies and final projects.
Completion-only reflections are distinguished from graded assignments.
Graded assignments are evaluated against the published rubric and applicable assessment requirements.
Submitting text or uploading a document does not automatically constitute a passing grade.
Where human judgement is required or reliable automated grading is unavailable, the assignment status will be:
Submitted — Awaiting Review
5.1 Manual Grading Standards
Relatia adopts the following administrative service standards:
- Manual grading target: Seven (7) business days from valid submission.
- Delayed grading: Where additional review is necessary, a status update should be provided within ten (10) business days.
- Escalation: Learners may contact Academy support where a grading decision remains outstanding beyond the communicated timeframe.
These are service targets and do not guarantee immediate or automatic final grading.
5.2 Automated Feedback and Review
Where automated feedback is used, it must be clearly identified.
Learners may request administrator review of potentially inaccurate automated results.
Authorised grading adjustments must include a documented reason and appropriate audit record.
6. Drafts, Autosaving and File Uploads
Relatia supports saving and resuming learning work where the relevant feature is available.
Learners should confirm successful saving before leaving an activity.
Simultaneous editing of the same draft on multiple devices may cause conflicts or loss of unsynchronised changes.
Required uploads must comply with the file formats, size limits and attachment limits displayed in the assignment instructions.
Learners must submit only materials they are legally entitled to share and should avoid unnecessary confidential or sensitive third-party information.
7. School Completion Requirements
A learner qualifies for school completion only after satisfying all applicable requirements recorded for their enrolment.
These include, where required:
- Completion of all mandatory courses.
- Completion of required lessons and activities.
- Passing required assessments.
- Approval of graded assignments.
- Completion of required practical projects.
- Satisfaction of additional school-specific requirements.
Opening a page, viewing content or selecting a completion button does not replace required evidence of achievement.
7.1 RC101 and School Certification
Completion of RC101 alone does not qualify a learner for the School of Relationship Capital certificate.
The learner must complete all required courses and satisfy the school's certification requirements.
7.2 Protection of Enrolment Requirements
Required courses, assessment rules and applicable content versions are recorded at enrolment.
Later additions or revisions will not automatically impose new requirements on existing learners or invalidate legitimately earned certificates.
8. Certificates of Completion
Learners who satisfy all applicable school completion requirements are eligible for an official Relatia certificate of completion.
Learners must confirm their full certificate name before issuance.
Where the certification system is configured and functioning as specified, eligible learners receive one certificate automatically for the relevant school completion.
Certificates are accessible through My Certificates, with available options for viewing, PDF access and verification.
Certificate issuance does not depend on email availability.
8.1 Certificate Information
Certificates may contain:
- Learner's confirmed full name.
- Completed school or programme.
- Completion date.
- Unique certificate identification number.
- Issuing organisation.
- Approved signatory details.
- Verification reference or link.
Signatory information must be configured by an authorised administrator.
8.2 Public Verification
Public verification displays only the limited certificate information described in Relatia's Privacy Policy.
Private assignments, grades, payment records and account information are excluded.
8.3 Certificate Recognition
Relatia certificates acknowledge completion of designated Academy learning requirements.
Unless expressly stated and independently verified, certificates do not confer academic credit, professional licensing, government accreditation, guaranteed employment or automatic recognition by external institutions.
9. Certificate Corrections and Reissuance
Learners may request corrections to certificate names or other administrative details through Academy support.
Approved corrections result in a replacement certificate linked to the original record.
The previous certificate is marked Superseded rather than silently deleted.
Certificate revocation requires an authorised review, a documented reason and an appropriate audit history.
Previous attempts, assessment results and relevant eligibility evidence remain recorded in accordance with applicable retention requirements.
10. Assessment Appeals and Reviews
Learners may appeal an assessment result, grading decision or relevant certification eligibility decision where they believe an error or unfairness has occurred.
The following standards are approved:
- Appeal filing window: Fourteen (14) calendar days after communication of the disputed decision.
- Acknowledgement target: Two (2) business days after receipt of the appeal.
- Initial review target: Ten (10) business days after receipt of a sufficiently documented appeal.
- Escalation: Learners may request review by the Academy's designated senior administrator if dissatisfied with the initial decision.
Where reasonably possible, the appeal will be considered by an authorised reviewer who was not responsible for the original disputed decision.
Appeals should identify the assessment or decision being challenged, explain the grounds and include relevant supporting information.
The Academy may correct an error, order reassessment or uphold the original decision based on the available evidence.
Appeals do not automatically result in higher grades or passing status.
Original grades, attempts, feedback and review decisions remain documented.
Business days exclude weekends and Nigerian public holidays.
11. Academic Integrity and Responsible Participation
Learners are expected to participate honestly and submit work that genuinely reflects their understanding and contribution.
Plagiarism, falsification, misrepresentation, unauthorised collaboration and attempts to manipulate assessments may result in administrative review.
Where misconduct is established, appropriate measures may include resubmission, invalidation of an affected assessment or review of certification eligibility.
Decisions must be documented and remain subject to applicable appeal procedures.
12. Complaints and Escalation
Learners may submit concerns regarding course access, assessments, grading, certification or administrative decisions to:
afrydef@gmail.com
Relatia will review complaints fairly, communicate relevant outcomes and provide appropriate opportunities for escalation.
Nothing in this policy removes statutory rights or remedies available under Nigerian law.
13. Policy Updates
Relatia may revise this policy to reflect changes in learning design, assessment procedures, certification systems, technology or legal requirements.
Approved revisions will be published with an effective date.
Existing enrolment requirements and legitimately earned certificates will be respected, subject to lawful corrections and documented academic integrity reviews.
