1. Introduction and Purpose
Relatia – Relationship Capital Academy works to help individuals and organisations build relationship capital through trust, authenticity, reciprocity, strategic connections and consistent contribution.
We recognise that strong professional relationships are essential to organisational performance, leadership effectiveness, employee development, stakeholder engagement, partnerships and sustainable growth.
Our corporate and institutional learning services are designed to help organisations strengthen these capabilities through practical, interactive and application-focused education.
This policy establishes the principles governing corporate training enquiries, institutional enrolments, customised learning programmes, proposals, contracts, payments, delivery, certification, reporting and cancellations.
2. Eligible Organisations
Relatia welcomes training and partnership enquiries from:
- Private businesses and corporate organisations.
- Small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Non-governmental organisations.
- Foundations and development organisations.
- Government ministries, departments and agencies.
- Universities and educational institutions.
- Professional associations and membership organisations.
- Entrepreneurship ecosystems and business support organisations.
Services may be designed for employees, executives, managers, entrepreneurs, founders, professionals, leadership teams or other agreed participant groups.
3. Corporate and Institutional Learning Services
Subject to an agreed proposal, Relatia may offer:
- Group enrolment in existing Academy schools and courses.
- Customised relationship capital training.
- Leadership and executive relationship development.
- Strategic networking and partnership development workshops.
- Career and professional relationship development.
- Entrepreneurship and business relationship programmes.
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship mapping.
- Mentorship and professional networking programmes.
- Facilitated learning sessions and practical workshops.
Delivery arrangements may include self-paced online learning, live virtual workshops, facilitated group sessions, blended learning or other mutually agreed formats.
Availability, programme scope and delivery arrangements must be confirmed before any commitment is made.
4. Enquiries and Programme Requests
Organisations interested in training or institutional collaboration may submit an enquiry through Relatia's website or contact afrydef@gmail.com.
Enquiries may request information about:
- Organisation name and contact details.
- Nature of the organisation.
- Estimated number of participants.
- Preferred courses or learning themes.
- Training objectives.
- Preferred delivery format.
- Proposed timeframe.
- Specific learning or accessibility needs.
Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking, invoice, contract or guarantee of programme delivery.
A programme becomes confirmed only after the relevant terms have been agreed and accepted by authorised representatives of the parties.
5. Training Proposals and Written Agreements
Before a corporate or institutional programme is confirmed, Relatia will provide or agree on a written proposal outlining the relevant arrangements.
The proposal should specify:
- Contracting parties and authorised representatives.
- Programme objectives and expected learning outcomes.
- Courses, schools or customised learning content included.
- Number of participants.
- Delivery format and location, where applicable.
- Programme schedule and duration.
- Facilitators or instructional responsibilities.
- Learner support arrangements.
- Accessibility requirements and reasonable adjustments.
- Programme fees in Nigerian naira (NGN), unless another currency is expressly agreed.
- Applicable taxes and payment obligations.
- Payment milestones and invoicing arrangements.
- Duration of access to digital learning materials.
- Assessment and certification requirements.
- Cancellation, postponement and rescheduling conditions.
- Relevant data protection and reporting arrangements.
Any material changes to the agreed scope must be documented and approved by authorised representatives before implementation.
6. Contracting and Programme Approval
Corporate and institutional programmes are subject to internal review and approval by AFRYDEF or its authorised representatives.
The process will ordinarily involve:
- Receipt and review of the organisation's enquiry.
- Clarification of learning objectives and participant requirements.
- Assessment of delivery capacity and programme suitability.
- Preparation of a written proposal.
- Agreement on scope, pricing and delivery arrangements.
- Acceptance by authorised representatives.
- Confirmation of applicable payment and implementation requirements.
Only persons with appropriate authority may commit AFRYDEF or the contracting organisation to binding programme obligations.
Relatia does not claim government procurement approval, institutional endorsement, professional accreditation or external recognition unless independently verified.
7. Pricing, Invoicing and Payment
Corporate and institutional training fees are determined according to the agreed programme scope, participant numbers, delivery format, duration and support requirements.
Relatia does not apply a universal fixed price to customised corporate or institutional programmes.
The written proposal will identify:
- Total programme cost.
- Currency of payment.
- Applicable taxes.
- Payment stages and deadlines.
- Accepted payment arrangements.
- Conditions for programme confirmation.
- Any approved additional charges.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, no organisation is entitled to commence a paid programme before satisfying the applicable contractual and payment requirements.
Additional work outside the agreed scope may require a revised quotation and written approval.
8. Learner Registration and Account Access
Individual participants will ordinarily use their own authorised Relatia learner accounts.
Organisations must provide participant information only where they have an appropriate legal basis and have fulfilled applicable notice obligations.
Group enrolment arrangements will specify:
- The number of authorised learners.
- Applicable courses and schools.
- Access duration.
- Registration procedures.
- Support arrangements.
- Conditions for replacing or substituting participants, where permitted.
Participants must comply with Relatia's Learner Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity Policy.
9. Assessment and Certification
Where a programme includes Relatia Academy courses or schools, assessments and certificates will follow the applicable Learning, Assessment and Certification Policy.
School completion certificates require learners to satisfy all relevant course, lesson, assessment, assignment and completion requirements.
Attendance at a workshop does not automatically constitute completion of an Academy school.
Where an organisation requests a separate workshop participation certificate, its conditions and wording must be agreed in advance.
Certificates do not imply academic credit, professional licensing, external accreditation or guaranteed career outcomes unless such recognition has been independently established.
10. Organisational Reporting and Learner Privacy
Relatia respects the privacy of individual learners participating in corporate and institutional programmes.
A sponsoring organisation does not automatically receive access to individual assignments, private reflections, assessment scores or other confidential learning records.
Any organisational reporting must be defined in the written agreement and communicated appropriately to affected learners.
Subject to applicable law and the agreed scope, reporting may include:
- Number of registered participants.
- Aggregate participation statistics.
- Overall programme completion rates.
- Aggregated learning outcomes.
- General programme feedback.
- Other specifically agreed and lawfully shareable information.
Individual-level reporting will require a documented lawful basis and appropriate participant information.
Relatia does not promise a team manager dashboard, automated bulk reporting or unrestricted sponsor access unless those capabilities have been implemented and expressly included in the programme agreement.
11. Programme Delivery and Responsibilities
The written proposal will identify the responsibilities of Relatia and the contracting organisation.
These may include:
- Participant registration and communication.
- Venue or virtual meeting arrangements.
- Internet connectivity and technical requirements.
- Facilitator availability.
- Distribution of approved learning materials.
- Participant attendance and engagement.
- Assignment and assessment requirements.
- Accessibility arrangements.
- Administrative coordination and reporting.
Both parties are expected to cooperate reasonably to support effective programme delivery.
12. Programme Changes and Rescheduling
Either party may request changes to the agreed programme scope, delivery schedule or other arrangements.
Material changes must be reviewed and confirmed in writing before implementation.
Where changes affect programme costs, facilitator availability, participant numbers or delivery dates, the parties must agree on any revised terms.
Relatia will communicate promptly where circumstances may prevent delivery as originally agreed and seek a reasonable alternative.
13. Cancellation and Refunds
Corporate and institutional programme cancellations will be governed by the written agreement accepted by the contracting parties.
The agreement should clearly specify:
- Applicable cancellation notice periods.
- Conditions for postponement or rescheduling.
- Treatment of fees already paid.
- Reasonable and lawfully disclosed preparation costs.
- Refund eligibility for undelivered services.
- Treatment of partially delivered programmes.
- Responsibilities where either party cannot fulfil its obligations.
No standard cancellation charge or non-refundable deposit applies unless expressly agreed and lawfully disclosed.
Where Relatia cannot deliver an agreed service, the parties will consider appropriate remedies, including rescheduling, replacement delivery or a refund where required by the agreement or applicable law.
The general learner Refund and Cancellation Policy does not automatically replace separately agreed corporate or institutional contract terms.
Nothing in this policy excludes non-waivable legal rights or remedies.
14. Intellectual Property and Learning Materials
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Relatia and relevant rights holders retain their applicable intellectual property rights in Academy course content, training materials, assessments and learning resources.
Organisations and participants receive only the access or usage rights expressly provided in the relevant agreement.
Training materials must not be resold, commercially redistributed or reproduced beyond the authorised scope without permission.
Any rights relating to specially commissioned or jointly developed materials must be addressed in the written programme agreement.
15. Confidentiality and Data Protection
Relatia will handle organisational enquiries, participant information and programme records in accordance with applicable Nigerian data protection laws and its Privacy Policy.
Where necessary, the parties will document their respective responsibilities for processing participant data.
Organisations should not upload employee contact lists, confidential business documents or third-party personal information without appropriate authority and applicable privacy notices.
Confidential information received during programme planning or delivery will be handled according to the relevant agreement and applicable law.
16. Publicity and Use of Organisation Names
Submitting a training enquiry or participating in a Relatia programme does not automatically authorise public use of an organisation's name, logo, testimonials or participation details.
Any promotional use must be supported by appropriate permission or another lawful basis.
Relatia will not represent an organisation as an institutional partner, client or endorser without a proper basis for doing so.
17. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Organisations may submit concerns about programme delivery, payments, reporting or other contractual matters to afrydef@gmail.com.
Relatia encourages good-faith discussions and reasonable attempts to resolve disagreements amicably.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved, the parties may pursue the remedies provided in their agreement and under applicable Nigerian law.
Any agreed dispute resolution venue or procedure must preserve rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Policy Updates
Relatia may update this policy to reflect changes in programme delivery, operational practices, technology or applicable legal requirements.
Approved revisions will be published with an effective date.
Changes will not retrospectively alter binding contractual terms without an appropriate legal basis or agreement.
